Where is gfi located
There are two types of GFCI: one for personnel the one you commonly hear about; extremely sensitive and one that is less sensitive… and that there is also something called an AFCI breaker, which opens the circuit if arcs caused by loose connections are detected.
GFCI protection should be provided anywhere there is a receptacle installed in an area subject to moisture, as the presence of moisture greatly increases the danger of accidental shock. Recent Blogs Do microwaves require any minimum clearances around them?

Makes me think two GFI reset plugs. Dont know if that will help locating the GFI but might check your cord under the slideout. You may also like:. BB code is On. Smilies are On. Trackbacks are Off. Pingbacks are Off. Refbacks are Off. Forum Rules. Brake Controller Needed?

If placed at the beginning of a circuit, a GFCI outlet that is wired correctly will protect all downstream outlets in that circuit, even if they look like standard household outlets. A good example is a home with three bathrooms. The others are protected by correct wiring at the GFCI and being downstream of it in the circuit.
Other examples are exterior outlets that may be protected by a GFCI at the garage or in the basement , kitchen outlets that are protected by a GFCI further down the countertop, or a GFCI breaker that is located at the electrical panel that is protecting all outlets in that circuit. The point of all this is that you need to know where to go to reset your GFCIs once they trip.
